Teacher education research
The aim of the DoProfiL project is to restructure the training curricula in teacher training programs to improve inclusion-oriented teacher training and to improve access to learning content for all learners, e.g. through innovative teaching/learning formats. DoProfiL understands inclusion as a cross-cutting issue and involves different subject didactics and groups of people in the project design. Inclusion is framed within an understanding of diversity that includes gender, religion, ethnicity, social or economic status, physical impairments, or special learning needs. Throughout the duration of the DoProfiL project, the process will be evaluated on an accompanying basis.
Head of the overall project: Prof. Dr. Stephan Hußmann (Director of DoKoLL, Institute for the Development and Research of Mathematics Education, Professor of Mathematics Didactics); Prof. Dr. Barbara Welzel (Prorector Diversity Management, Department of Art and Art Science)
Participating professors of the research cluster Education, School, Inclusion: Prof. Dr. Jan Kuhl, TU Dortmund University
Funding: This project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of the joint "Quality Offensive Teacher Education" of the federal and state governments.
